There are four beaches in Palm Beach County under health advisories after water test results showed elevated levels of potentially dangerous bacteria.
Jupiter's Dubois Park, Ocean Inlet Park in Ocean Ridge and Lantana Beach on Wednesday joined Lake Worth-Kreusler Beach, which had already been placed on a no-swim advisory by the Florida Department of Health.
Health officials say contact with the water may pose an increased risk of infections disease, especially for those most susceptible.
Heavy rain is one of the contributing factors that can lead to the higher levels of bacteria, though no exact cause is known.
