Urgent Search for Missing Amber Alert Baby in Pasco County

BLANTON, FL -- Detectives in Pasco County, along with volunteers, are searching urgently for a seven day old baby boy, subject of an Amber Alert, after his suspected kidnapper was found dead in a rural area about three miles off I-75.

Sheriff Chris Nocco says a deputy spotted the van around midday Wednesday, ran the plates and connected it to the disappearance of Andrew Caballeiro in Miami. The body of his father, Ernesto Caballeiro was found nearby, dead of a self-inflicted wound from a rifle.

Nocco says a witness reported seeing a blonde woman siting in the van. "I pray to God that that is true and that she has the baby," Nocco daid.

The baby boy went missing after three women were found dead in his home.

Reporter Victoria Price of News Channel 8 in Tampa (WFLA-TV) reports that horses, K-9's, deputies and volunteers on ATV's took part in the search as the sun began to go down.

Deputies are working with Miami Dade Police on the case.
