Seeing Winter the Dolphin Requires Reservations and Social Distancing

CLEARWATER -- After being closed for about two months, Clearwater Marine Aquarium plans to reopen Friday (15th), using reserved tickets to create social distancing.

Before that happens, the aquarium will allow first responders, nurses, active duty military, teachers, and their children under 12 in free of charge, on May 13th and 14th in special appreciation days.

When it reopens, the aquarium will limit attendance to 25 percent of normal, and require advanced reservations. Guests will have to pick an arrival date and time.

The aquarium will also use signs and floor stickers to encourage social distancing, require staff to wear face masks and recommend them for guests, and install barriers at cash registers.

The Clearwater Marine Aquarium rescues sea creatures... and is best known as the home of Winter, the dolphin that lost its tail and received a prosthetic one as a replacement. Winter has been featured in the "Dolphin Tale" series of movies.

Tickets will go on sale Monday (11th) at seewinter.com. Follow the link here:
