Woman arrested for leaving four dogs in hot car while having lunch

New Smyrna Beach, FL - A woman was arrested on animal cruelty charges after locking four dogs in a hot car while having lunch at a central Florida restaurant.

26-year-old Tesia White, who was visiting New Smyrna Beach from Gainesville, Missouri, was arrested on animal cruelty charges on Thursday.

Police say White left a Goldendoodle, a boxer and two Goldendoodle puppies in her car with no air conditioning and the windows rolled up.

White told investigators she checked on the dogs once during the meal.

She remained in the Volusia County Jail on Friday with a bond set at $10,000.
