One Dog's Dead, A Man Hospitalized After Miami Duplex Fire

Fire investigators are trying to figure out what sparked a a two-story duplex fire in Miami. A dog was found dead inside the structure in the 3400 block of Southwest 15th Street, early Friday morning after the fire erupted inside one of the homes, City of Miami Fire Rescue officials confirmed.

According to Miami Fire Rescue Lt. Pete Sanchez, two adults were evaluated at the scene by paramedics and a man was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center with burns to the arms and face. That victim is said to be stable.

Sanchez confirmed that six adults were displaced due to the blaze are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
