A South Florida woman convicted last month of a Facebook romance scam that bilked an elderly widow out of thousands of dollars was sentenced to 5-years in prison today.

The judge denied Lisa Miller's request for parole in lieu of repaying 75-year-old Linda Bemis the 60-grand she stole.

The judge called the crime heinous and noted that Miller had sold her own home for a $230-thousand profit that she put in an irrevocable trust for her children.

The judge ruled that Miller spend 5 years in prison for her crime and make complete restitution to Bemis.

Miller plans to appeal her conviction and sentence.
