Reckless Speeding on I-95 Lands Florida Man in Jail

Cocoa, FL - A Florida man's high-speed rush to visit his girlfriend landed him in jail on reckless driving charges after being pulled over going 108 mph.

According to police, 27-year-old Axel Sobrevilla of North Lauderdale was arrested on Saturday on reckless driving charges after Brevard County Sheriff's deputies clocked him speeding at 108 mph on Interstate 95.

According to the arrest affidavit, deputies received a call regarding a red Toyota Camry weaving through traffic and using the emergency lane.

Police located the vehicle near the West King Street overpass in Cocoa and confirmed Sobrevilla's high speed via radar.

When pulled over, Sobrevilla reportedly admitted to speeding, explaining he was in a hurry to see his girlfriend in North Carolina.

Sobrevilla was placed under arrest and transported to the Brevard County jail.
