"Romeo & Juliet" Shows More In Jupiter This Year At Shakespeare Festival

The 29th Annual Palm Beach Shakespeare-By-The-Sea takes audiences behind the scenes this year.

The second week of shows at Carlin Park in Jupiter begins Thursday night and Trent Stephens, who's directing the presentation of "Romeo and Juliet," says you'll see more than usual if you look stage left and right between scenes.

"We are letting the audience see what goes on backstage. So we are kind of building a transparent world of theater where people can see the costume changes, they can see the set changes."

The shows begin at 8 p.m. each night through Sunday.

There's no set admission fee, but a minimum $5 donation is suggested. Giveaways are available this year for those offering more money.

The production is a non-profit and producer Elizabeth Dashiell tells us it costs about $30,000 to put on the show every year.
