Finances have become the top consideration for marriage consideration - the good and perhaps not so good:

We know that over half of divorces are the result of financial issues but those aren't the only times in which financial concerns provide severe stress in a relationship. According to LearnVest:
Financial concerns are the top stressor for 68% of relationships
So that's clearly not good. Here's something that might be helpful going forward however...
58% of people said they'd rather stay single (for the rest of their lives even) over getting involved with someone with poor financial habits
That can be a positive catalyst for three meaningful improvements:
Better planning/financial communication prior to marriage
Added incentive for people to become more financial responsible
Fewer divorces!
