HUD Secretary Ben Carson's national listening tour came to an abrupt halt in Miami Wednesday morning when he and his wife got stuck in an elevator.
The Carsons were touring the Courtside Apartments when they became stuck in the elevator for about 15 minutes before being freed by firefighters. The retired neurosurgeon thanked Miami police and firefighters for their hard work on Twitter, as you can see above. He was on his way to a meeting with former Miami Heat star Alonzo Mourning.
Miami is the third stop on Carson's national tour to hear directly from people and organizations who rely on and support public housing.
