Reports of counterfeit money are nothing new, but this case is a bit different.
Police in Stuart are advising businesses to be on the lookout for fake hundred dollar bills, some of which appear to have originated in Hollywood...as in California.
The bills feature the words "For Motion Picture Use Only" to the right of Benjamin Franklin, whose eyebrows appear more animated than usual. The word "cinema" is also on the bill, which otherwise has the markings of the real thing, including stripes and coloring.
Anyone who receives these fake bills are asked to contact the Stuart Police at 772-287-1122.
