Work has begun to make improvements to an I-95 interchange where a tow truck driver died after responding to a semi dangling over the side of the highway.
Just within the past year, there have been at least four other similar accidents at this same spot at Congress Avenue in Boca Raton.
The Florida Department of Transportation had talked about making changes for some time, but now the work is underway. Crews Monday night installed new signs and pavement markings that alert drivers to reduce speed, that the road will end soon and warning about a sharp turn ahead.
The FDOT hopes the improvements will reduce the number of issues in the future.
