A Stuart dermatologist has died in a windsurfing accident.
68-year old Dr. Thomas Connelly was windsurfing about a mile north of the Stuart causeway on Friday, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, when he collided with a boat.
The driver gave Connelly CPR while returning to the dock, but the man later died at the hospital. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to investigators.
Dr. Connelly had been practicing skin cancer surgery in the area since 1985.
