Hundreds of students, teachers, and loved ones of Jonathon Gonzalez gathered together in Wellington, in mourning of the local middle school student who tragically lost his life on Sunday.
According to our news partners over at CBS12:
"Friends and family say Gonzalez was the passenger on the dirt bike driven by a friend when the dirt bike went off an equestrian trail and crashed into a canal."
A candle lit vigil was held on Monday in remembrance of the 13-year-old, where people at the site of the accident to leave flowers, candles, and to comfort one another. Many of the attendees even dressed in red, which was Jonathon's favorite color.
CBS12 also informed the public yesterday that grief counselors were available to students of Emerald Cove Middle School, to help cope with the loss of their classmate.
