Boca Raton police are looking for a man wanted on a drug warrant, which prompted an alert at FAU Friday morning.
The school sent out a warning of police activity around 11 a.m., citing an abundance of caution.
Boca Raton police later tweeted that a suspect, who had been sleeping in a business and wanted on a drug warrant, ran from officers.
Students and staff at Florida Atlantic are not in danger.
