Some news to pass along if you have a new or recent college grad at home.
WalletHub is out with its list of the year's Best Places to Start a Career, and Florida has two cities in the Top 10 and four in the Top 25.
The site researched the 150 largest U.S. cities based on 23 metrics along the lines of both professional opportunities and quality of life. The metrics include the availability of entry-level jobs, the average starting salary, home affordability and average commute time.
Fort Lauderdale ranks 24th on this list, with Tampa next at 19. Miami ranks 7th and Orlando is the number two best place to start a career.
While the two South Florida cities on the list rank better in professional opportunities than quality of life, Orlando is in the Top 5 for both categories.
