2 More Wawa Stores To Open This Week In PBC

Popular convenience store/gas station/sub shop Wawa already has 3 locations in Palm Beach County and plans to open two more this week.

The family owned chain is holding grand opening events Thursday at stores in West Palm Beach (Belvedere Rd. and Australian Ave.) and Greenacres (Lake Worth Rd. and Jog Rd.).

The three other Palm Beach County Wawas are in Palm Springs and Riviera Beach.  Two are off Congress Avenue (Palm Springs) and the third is off Blue Heron Blvd. (Riviera Beach).

Thursday's ribbon cutting ceremonies are happening at 10 a.m. in West Palm Beach and 2 p.m. in Greenacres, though both stores will open at 8 a.m.  Wawa has given away prizes to the earliest customers at previous grand opening events.

Plans are underway for more stores in Palm Beach and Broward Counties.

Wawa is based in Pennsylvania and is named after the town of Wawa.  They first moved into Florida in 2012 when a store opened in Orlando.
