The new Ballpark of the Palm Beaches will see the most activity it's seen since Spring Training, beginning Friday, when the Palm Beach Classic begins.
It's one of the largest high school-aged baseball tournaments with 280 teams playing.
Games will be played on some of the 12 practice fields that are used by prospects of the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals. Those Major League teams hold their spring training games at the West Palm Beach facility, but the stadium is not home to any minor league teams.
The Palm Beach Classic runs through June 14, and games are also played at Roger Dean Stadium, and other local fields.
The new ballpark also hosts college baseball and soccer games.
