Martin County Sheriff William Snyder is warning residents to be sure to report anything suspicious after some recent home burglaries.
At least three homes in one Palm City area were targeted yesterday morning alone.
Investigators say the crooks are going to the back of the homes, looking for places that have a patio and sliding glass door. They're getting in within seconds and stealing whatever they can take. One of the victims lost jewelry, guns and a coin collection.
Sheriff Snyder says the burglars are following a pattern and believes they will strike again, likely coming from the south. He urges homeowners to use burglar alarms and put valuables in safes.
Meanwhile, they're following tips on a possible getaway car.
