U.S. House Majority Whip Steve Scalise is listed in critical condition after surgery to remove a bullet from his hip.
The video above shows moments from the shooting that wounded the Republican Congressman and four others. It was shot by a witness who was ducking behind a fence on the baseball field in Virginia, where the players were practicing for their charity game against the Democrats' team. The game is still scheduled to be played Thursday.
Nearly 70 shots are heard in the video, which may include the ones that took out the shooter, whose been identified as James T. Hodgkinson. President Trump has praised two Capitol police officers for their bravery in saving lives and stopping the Illinois man and Bernie Sanders supporter.
In addition to Scalise, Capitol Polcie Special Agents David Bailey and Krystal Griner were wounded, along with Congressional aide Zachary Barth and Matt Mika, a lobbyist for Tyson Foods.
