Florida has lost another law enforcement officer.

A state trooper died Saturday when he wound up pinned underneath a vehicle that was involved in a two-car crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol says 52-year old Sergeant William Trampass Bishop was investigating a previous crash involving a car parked along an emergency lane of I-75 in Alachua County, when he was struck as two other cars collided.  The trooper died at the hospital.

Bishop had been with FHP for 30 years.
