A 12-year old was behind the wheel of a car that caused a three vehicle wreck in Port St. Lucie Tuesday night and police say a 20-year old woman made the child drive, though they're not sure why at this point.
Investigators say Brittney Powell first tried to get an 11-year old, who was in the back seat at the time of the crash, to get behind the wheel but she refused and that's when she made the older girl drive. There was also a seven year old in the back seat.
There were no serious injuries in the crash, but one of the cars they crashed into had two children in the back seat.
Powell could face anywhere from contributing to the delinquency of a minor to child abuse. The 12-year old was not charged.
