We honor a man who's already been honored by the city for which he works.
Delray Beach Police Officer Todd Clancy was named the 2016 Employee of the Year by the city of Delray in response to what he did for a young mother and her family.
Clancy heard about the woman and her seven children losing their home in a fire, so he reached to his co-workers at the police department and organized a donation drive which brought in furniture, toys and gift cards, among other items, and delivered them to the family's new home.
The officer then took the family to a non-profit called the Cool Clothes Closet, which provides clothing at no cost to those in need.
