Florida Is Now Second In Nation For Air Travel

Airport Sign

Florida has moved up in the amount of airline passengers we have.

Governor Rick Scott says Florida jumped over Texas and now ranks second in the nation in the amount of people who fly into and out of our airports, according to the latest statistics from the Federal Aviation Administration.

The governor is also thanking the Trump administration for awarding our state $10.6 million in grants to improve eight Florida airports.  PBIA is not one of those, but Scott says the state's airports have a significant impact on supporting job creation and growing the economy as they welcome millions of visitors each year.

California is the only state with more airport traffic than Florida.
