Excerpts: Joe Arpaio, the former Maricopa County sheriff, represents in miniature what President Trump would like to be more maximally—a successful American authoritarian.

Arpaio was scheduled to be sentenced for the contempt-of-court charge on October 5th, and he could have served up to six months in prison. Choosing to pardon him is a gift to the white nationalists. But it also signals a broad-brush contempt for fundamental rights in this country. 

So keep up, now Joe Arpaio represents white nationalist authoritarian rule. That's what it's always been about...what would we do without decoders like the New Yorker?

Excerpt: Donald Trump is already the legitimate leader of just one half of one-third of the country. It’s time for the rest of us to act in concert and do what we need to do. I’m often asked as I move around the country, what can be done to stop the nightmare that Trump represents to the other two-thirds of Americans. I think the answer is fairly simple. As you march for the resistance or just watch the Trump dumpster fire burn, begin preparing to kick out the pillar propping him up: namely, the Republican Congress that serves as his sword and shield. 

So as a reasonably informed individual, you might look at Congress as the obstacle to major reforms like healthcare and taxes to date (because that's factually been the case) but in the warped world-view of the Godless, soulless types...Congress has (cough) been taking bullets for him and serving as his protector. When you start out by suggesting that the President of the United States is only a legitimate leader of 16.5% of the country - I guess nothing should be surprising. 

This is how you know that Trump-Russia collusion doesn't have legs (aside from James Comey under oath saying as much). Despite whole media outlets devoting five months on near non-stop coverage... Three weekends after Charlottesville, the narrative is still being attempted that Donald Trump is a Nazi, or at least down for the cause. Once upon a time in a land not so far away credibility still entered the equation for these people. Bigots on the left are now so hell bent on advancing narratives that even the obvious will be ignored. What's the obvious? 

The President's head of the National Economic Council, Treasury Secretary and VA Secretary are all Jewish. But even that's not the most obvious. Two other senior advisers to the President are as well. His daughter and son-in-law. These facts represent an inconvenient truth. But then again what does the truth have to do with anything in the Godless, soulless, slanderous news media.

So here's the Reader's Digest version of the is analogy...Caligula was a Roman emperor who served for 3+ years known for violence, being a sexual deviant and mentally unstable. So this actually pulls together a number of clever absurdities advanced including the discredited "golden shower" dossier. But here's the rest of the story (analogy). Caligula was assassinated. Is that a bit alarming to anyone else?

The material here is amazing and wonderful in it's absurdity simultaneously. Once again, if you look at these through the prism of Donald Trump being President, and more elected Republicans serving in the United States since the 1920's...it's pretty hilarious! The air of desperation, advocacy and instructions for their "resistance" is comical. These people really do take themselves completely seriously!
