Hysterical Media Headlines (Funny or Absurd) for October 5th:
Bottom Line: These are you daily doses of nonsense from the generally godless, soulless and slanderous news media...
'Thoughts and Prayers' Is Starting to Sound Profane Kirsten Powers, Washington Post
I've actually found overtime, through conversations that have been unfortunately revealing, that those who don't understand the significance of thoughts and prayers are those who don't actually take time to understand what those who offer them are doing. If thoughts and prayers seem hollow to you, when was the last time you really prayed to a power higher than yourself for anything?
If Only Stephen Paddock Were a Muslim Thomas Friedman, New York Times
What, do you mean if we only had a motive? So, you don't get anyone of note to suggest anything irresponsible about the motivations of Stephen Paddock so you decide to write a slanderous piece ubiquitously to indict those whom you wish to indict ubiquitously? That's truly sick behavior.
No Inflation? Technology May Have Left It in 20th Century Zachary Karabell, Wired
I don't expect people at Wired, or any media outlet, to be highly competent economic experts. But then again, I also don't expect them to pretend as though they are either. The entire inflation conversation is a fairly complicated one but the macro factors aren't. US population growth is the lowest on record and falling. The Obama administration raised taxes, regulation and quasi-nationalized a six of the US economy. There's nothing about 1.8% economic growth for 8+ years that needs to be made complicated.
