Tracking Trump - The President's approval for October 6th:
Bottom Line: This is one of two weekly tracking stories to get a reality/temperature check with regard to what's really going on with public opinion of the President. In this series we'll track the high point, low point and current ratings and week over week comparisons.
Trump's lowest ratings: 37% approval and 59% disapprove: -22% (8/4/17)
Trump highest approval ratings were an average 45% approval and 43% disapproval +2% (1/27/17)
Trump's current ratings: 40% approval and 56% disapprove: -16%
For the ease of conversation, I've decided to start rounding off the numbers this week. President Trump's rating is actually up 1% this week and Rasmussen's tracking poll actually has him back at 45% approval (which is where he started his Presidency). I don't think there's anything to read into this week's movement. It's a turbulent time with a horrific news cycle. I think we'll have a better idea next week when we're a bit further removed from the tragic attack in Las Vegas.
There's still a ton on the plate of the President waiting in Washington. The budget deal. Tax Reform, North Korea & whatever's next (which might be Nate).
The range was Rasmussen -9% to Reuters -21%
Until next week...
