Trending - Scott Heads Back To Puerto Rico

Florida Gov. Rick Scott Holds Bill Signing In Miami Gardens

Gov. Rick Scott will travel to Puerto Rico on Friday to help restore power to the island that's struggling to recover after Hurricane Maria.  There have been reports that 70 percent of the U.S. territory remains without electricity.

This week, the governor of Puerto Rico cancelled a contract with a Montana power company and it could stall restorations by up to three months.

Scott will be making his second visit to Puerto Rico since Maria, after being invited by Gov. Ricardo Rosello, who asked for his guidance on restoring energy.

Florida's governor will bring along executives from our state's largest power companies.
