Hot – Police: $400K Worth Of Items Stolen From PBG Home Of Venus Williams

It's been a rough year for Venus Williams.  The tennis star is being sued by the widow of a man who died a couple of weeks after being involved in a car crash with Venus as she left her home in the BallenIsles community in Palm Beach Gardens back in June.  Now, we've learned that Williams' home was burglarized while she was out of town playing in the U.S. Open in September.  A police report released yesterday shows more than $400,000 worth of items were stolen from her home. 

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (WPEC) — Palm Beach Gardens Police are investigating a burglary at the home of tennis star Venus Williams.

According to a report obtained by CBS12 News reporter Michael Buczyner, Williams lost $400,000 in property. The stolen property is listed on the report, but it's redacted.

Police received a report of the burglary on Sept. 5. According to the report, her home was last secured on Sept. 1.
