Hysterical Headlines (Funny or Absurd) for January 19th

Hysterical Headlines (Funny or Absurd) for January 19th:

Bottom Line: These are the daily doses of nonsense in the media and my hot takes on them...

  • Trump in Palm Beach: "This sure ain't no S-hole" Judge Jeanine Pirro at Mar-a-Lago – Palm Beach

Excerpt: Fiery speech by Judge Jeanine Pirro, decrying immigrants and rallying Trump supporters to "cling to guns, God and the United States of America and stand up and swear allegiance to 2018." #trumpinpalmbeach #maralago #trumpettes

Hot Take: This was the "Trumpettes" party at Mar-A-Lago last night. One of the new events created and hosted at Mar-A-Lago this year after bigots scared many long running events during season. Here's the thing. I'm not sure if the Post folks understood the humor in Judge Jeanine's speech. Which actually makes this depiction of the event complete with tweets like the one cited above even more entertaining to read.

Excerpt: Maybe Men Will Be Scared for a While, But maybe to fear women is to begin seeing them as people.

Hot Take: Umm, wow. In the off chance you didn't wake up next to your wife today and immediately utter a statement that included the word bitch - this might seem almost shocking to you. As a regular guy who loves his wife and treats her accordingly... I didn't realize until now that, apparently, I need female shock therapy. Based on those statements and this story, I'm pretty sure that Molly Fischer would scare the hell out of me if I had to deal with her. Btw, these Metooers have officially reached the point to where you have to be a woman about as nasty as Ashley Judd to identify with it.

Excerpt:  What happens in the coming days has the potential to fundamentally shift the balance of power in the workplace. Nothing less than the right to dream, live, work and retire in security is on the table as Congress faces key decisions and deadlines.

It is hard to be optimistic given the House and Senate’s last major action: a budget-busting, worker-bashing tax cut designed to further enrich big corporations, concentrate wealth in the hands of the few and ship jobs overseas.

Hot Take: OMG! I think Richard Trumka, President of the AFL-CIO, really did accidentally break out his 1994 talking points and sent them into the Hill. The only other possible explanation is that he's bat crap crazy and has lost his mind. The amoral black hole of desperation, despair, and dishonesty blatantly splattered in this article should disqualify him from representing himself in public let alone 12.5 million union members that are forced to pay for this nonsense.

Here are current facts:

  • The unemployment rate is the lowest in over 17 years

  • Minority unemployment is at a record low!

  • The average American just received the biggest raise in 11 years

  • The average American just received a tax cut of 4% or $1,980

  • The average American, once the tax cut hits paychecks, will have over 7% more income today compared to a year ago - the best increase in 32 years

  • Manufacturing has been a top three job producer for three consecutive months (first time in well over 20 years)

  • More jobs have been brought back to the US within the last year than have been outsourced

And that's before the Chrysler, Ford, GM, Apple, Amazon news just to name a few! This is everything that's wrong with unions that are run for political purposes rather than for employees.

Until Monday...
