Hysterical Headlines (Funny or Absurd) for February 28th
Bottom Line: These are the daily doses of nonsense in the media and my hot takes on them...
Absurd Ploy to Arm Teachers Is a Distraction Eugene Robinson, Washington Post
Hot Take: Your ignorance and agenda is a distraction. Don't worry it's not coming to our state because the President has said it's going to be left up to the states and our Governor said he doesn't support it - so whew distraction averted. Of course, so is enhanced school security. What you say? Yes, because despite the media, teacher's unions and school supers acting as though it's the craziest and most reckless concept ever...it's really that once again they're A. Ignorant if I'm being generous B. Potentially blinded by a biased agenda if they're not...Why?
Because once again there are 18 states that already allow it and have for decades (really ever but ya know)! And while it's true that there are solid majorities of teachers who don't want to carry on campus - there are consistently around a quarter who do when asked. But why pay attention to their concerns and desires right? I mean that'd mean they're those people... You know the ones us close-minded types look down on?
Why Does the Left Want to Disarm the Good Guys? Dennis Prager, Investor's Biz Daily
Great point. Let me ask you. Do you feel safer or more at risk when law enforcement is in the vicinity and you're in a crowded venue? Now why is that? Could it be that there are people that are around to be able to protect you? Now let's say they aren't around. Would you rather have A. No one who's armed and capable in an emergency? B. People who are armed and capable in an emergency? This really isn't complicated is it?
