Hysterical Headlines (Funny or Absurd) for March 5th

Hysterical Headlines (Funny or Absurd) for March 5th

Bottom Line: These are the daily doses of nonsense in the media and my hot takes on them...

Excerpt: As in previous forums they have appeared on since the massacre, the two Floridians were composed, articulate and media savvy — at several points Kasky even had Maher, the experienced comic, laughing during the 10-minute segment. I honestly thought kids were a lot stupider,” Maher told Hogg and his classmate Kasky — co-founders of the student advocacy group #NeverAgainMSD and two of the organizers of nationwide marches and the March for Our Lives rally planned for March 24 in Washington

Hot Take: Given that stupider isn't a word. Well, Bill Maher said a lot without needing to say anymore...

  • Economists pan Trump trade policy as 'terrible' - Yahoo News

Hot Take: Today I have a three-part story about US trade policy that includes how we get screwed by our trading partners and why the President's tactics are more likely than not to be effective. It's probably not an exaggeration to assert that most economists couldn't effectively operate a lemonade stand in the summer in a populated desert. Of the "leading" 42 economists, only one has accurately stated that the 3% growth the President promised and has delivered on already, is possible. That same economist is the only one who accurately stated the benefits of the President's tax plan. Most economists are "textbook" taught economic policy through the prism of leftists in academia. Remarkably, despite really awful track records many remain employed and often are hailed for insightful predictions that seldom come true. Btw, not one of the top 42 nationally recognized economists has been accurate regarding the impact of the solar tariff thus far but why let that get in the way of a good/slanted story/narrative?

Hot take: This is literally the guy who said on Election Night 2016 "the markets will never recover". Of all of the awful economists employed for political reasons...Krugman takes the cake. But two points for the clever headline. That's about all you're good for these days Paul.
