Two people face charges for stealing items from the memorial set up for the Parkland shooting victims.  Someone tipped off police that they spotted people taking things away from a memorial at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and Broward County Sheriff’s deputies say they pulled over Michael Kennedy of Hollywood and New York resident Kara O’Neil yesterday.  A search of Kennedy’s car turned up teddy bears, plaques and pinwheels that reportedly came from the memorial.

PARKLAND, Fla. (CBS12) — A 37-year-old man and 40-year-old woman were arrested for reportedly stealing items from the memorial to Valentine's Day shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School.

Witnesses say they saw Michael Kennedy, of Hollywood, and Kara O'Neil, of Fulton, New York, taking mementos from the designated memorial honoring the lives of 17 students and staff who were killed in last month's shooting, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. Teddy bears, plaques and pin wheels were found in the backseat of their vehicle Sunday night.

The vehicle was also parked in the roadway blocking the right turn lane in front of the memorial.
