Hysterical Headlines (Funny or Absurd) for April 9th -
Bottom Line: These are the daily doses of nonsense in the media and my hot takes on them...
Hot Take: That's one way of saying that a million in South Florida might not be enough for you to live on in retirement. It's a half step away from Which will die first... your money or you? It does serve as a reminder about retirement planning. If you've not heard me talk about it... I don't believe in retirement plans that rely on principal reduction except for high net worth individuals and even then, I'm leery of the idea. The bottom line is that the best retirement planning includes using multiple streams of residual income. Those may include:
Interest
Dividends
Pensions
Social Security
Annuities
For the best retirement planning I recommend that you have no debt, including your home paid off and enough residual income to live according to your desired lifestyle. Anything else sets you up for potential failure in retirement and there's nothing sadder than working your entire life only to end up compromised in retirement at a time you're vulnerable and potentially no longer viable in the workforce.
