A 17-year old was taken into custody yesterday after cops found a gun, ammunition and what were termed "items of concern" in his possession at a school. The junior at Port St. Lucie High faces charges of having a firearm on school property. The teen was found with a handgun containing 12 rounds in the magazine, a second magazine containing one round and nearly sixty loose rounds of ammo, a taser, two necklaces and what appeared to be about $5,000 in one hundred dollar bills, but turned out to be prop movie money. All of those items were in his backpack.
