As of today, every new vehicle manufactured must have back-up cameras.  The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that roughly 200 people are killed each year in so-called "backup accidents."

Drivers will be given a 10 foot by 20 foot view behind their vehicles.  There are also requirements for image size and other factors.
