Father Of Parkland Shooting Victim Sues Broward Deputy Scot Peterson

Andrew Pollack

The father of one of the students killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Valentine's Day has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against former school resource officer, Broward County Sheriff's Deputy Scot Peterson, among others.

In the suit filed yesterday, Andrew Pollack also names Nikolas Cruz, the estate of the accused killer's adoptive mother and several others as defendants.

Pollack's 18 year old daughter Meadow was murdered at the school.

He tells the Miami Herald that Peterson is a "coward" who should not be able to ride off into the sunset with his Broward County pension.

Video shows the deputy staying outside the school building while shots were fired, rather than following Sheriff's Office policy and running toward the gunshots.
