Hysterical Headlines (Funny or Absurd) for May 7th - Mueller's met his match
Bottom Line: Your daily doses of non-sense in the media and my takes on them
Judge Asks Mueller: Where's the Evidence? Julie Kelly, American Greatness
Excerpt: One week after a Senate committee approved a bill to protect the special counsel from being fired by the president, both of Robert Mueller’s high-profile cases appear to be in legal jeopardy.
On Friday morning, a federal judge accused Mueller’s team of weaponizing its prosecutorial authority in an effort to take down Donald Trump. U.S. District Judge T. S. Ellis III suggested the special counsel’s case against Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign manager, is “about what information Mr. Manafort can give you to lead you to Mr. Trump and an impeachment. President Trump’s prosecution or impeachment—that’s what you’re really after.”
ABC News reported that Ellis, a 30-year veteran of the federal bench, repeatedly criticized the 18-count indictment against Manafort for bank fraud and tax evasion as being unrelated to Mueller’s initial directive, which was to investigate alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government before the 2016 presidential election.
Ellis pointed out that “the allegations clearly pre-date the appointment of the special counsel. None of it had any relation to the campaign.” He ascribed ulterior motives to Mueller’s investigation: “You get somebody in a conspiracy and then you tighten the screws. I’ve been here awhile, the vernacular is ‘to sing.’”
Hot Take: Ding, ding, ding! So now a federal judge overseeing Mueller's activities effectively said in a few paragraphs what Trump's been saying with two words right along. Witch Hunt! This important/key development on Friday seemed to conveniently sail right passed meaningful news coverage over the weekend but is very real. The judge gave Muller's team two weeks to prove why this indictment is justified. Stay tuned.

Excerpt: Even on a great day, things are always unraveling with Trump. Chaos is always getting unleashed. Turbulence is always brewing.
Hot Take: A bit dramatic but fine I'll bite. But why? Could it be because of a corrupted Justice Department and FBI? Could it be because of a mainstream media intent on creating news to undermine the administration rather than reporting facts?

Hot Take: What does that make a Trump voter/supporter btw.? Often lost in the angst against the President is that point. You have media routinely suggesting that you're not smart enough, savvy enough, etc. It's not just Trump. If you voted for him, you're often collateral damage too. What's more is that as President Trump's approval rating only continues to rise the extent of this type of behavior is only becoming more desperate. But here's the thing. If you are supportive of the President generally. A) You're not alone (in fact among likely voters you're potentially part of the majority in this country) B) Remember that the MSM has the least influence they've ever had, so they're unhinged rants, insults, fake news, etc. Reaches and is taken seriously by an ever-declining number of people that sit around being distressed and angst ridden. You don't need to be that person.
Until tomorrow...
