Term limits from Cuba to D.C. - Hysterical Headlines

Hysterical Headlines (Funny or Absurd) for July 23rd  Term limits from Cuba to D.C.

Bottom Line: Your daily doses of nonsense in the media and my takes on them...

Hot Take: Actions will speak louder than words. Let's hope that Castro does truly follow through on actions that break the back of Communistic control rather than talking a good game to attempt to obtain additional economic resources to further repress his people (which is what's consistently happened as Cuba). In the meantime, consider this. Politicos in and around Florida have suggested that Rick Scott's call for term limits in Congress is just a political ploy that's not feasible. In other words, there's more skepticism that's been expressed about Govenor Scott's call for Congressional term-limits in the US than there is about Presidential term-limits being proposed in Cuba.

Anything about that seem odd to you?

Hot Take: Great point. We were so much safer when ISIS controlled whole parts of the middle-east becoming a world-wide threat in the process. Much safer when North Korea was lobbing missiles around Asia and threatening to nuke us. Much safer when Iran was able to dictate the terms of inspection for their nuclear program. Much safer when Assad did what we wanted in Syria because he knew that Iran and Russia had his back and we wouldn't stand in the way.

It's fascinating how political preferences can create such a warped view of reality.

Hot Take: You can dream right?

Hot Take: Ironically enough, progress. Economically and otherwise. It's funny what happens when you stop looking to the government for answers and having the freedom to pursue success on your own.

Until Tomorrow...
