  • A record 35 million visitors came to Florida in the first quarter of the year. A 5.8% year over year increase according to Visit Florida, which ironically is in the mist of laying off staff after the budget cut passed in the state budget
  • All flights to Venezuela have been suspended TFN due to security concerns
  • The algae that can lead to red tide has been detected in Sarasota and Charlotte Counties – it's not dangerous as of yet but shows the potential for problems later on in the year
  • Florida’s prison guards will take the ICE training offered to law enforcement making them eligible to carry out ICE related tasks at the local level
  • Despite being told Florida isn’t in consideration for the U.S. Space Command, Space Force Florida is still completing its final proposal to provide to the Air Force in hopes they’ll reconsider
