- Governor DeSantis signed the criminal justice reform legislation into law that raises the threshold for felony theft to $750 from $300
- Also signed was the restoration of felon voting rights bill that includes financial restitution as a mandate prior to having voting rights restored. The NAACP and League of Women Voters have promised a legal challenge to this law
- Amazon’s Opa-locka fulfillment center is now open. It has the capacity to hold 15 million items at any given time and will likely speed up even non-prime purchases for many items throughout South Florida
