Move around – it’s good for your brain

Bottom Line: It just makes sense that if you move around more everything in your body would work a little better generally. It’s just that when it comes to being in shape we probably don’t think about the implications to our brain. But according to science, we should.

German scientists studied the brains of more than 1,200 adults that averaged out to be about 30 years old. Putting these adults through a basic physical test and studying MRI’s of their brains they found something meaningful. The people who performed best in the physical test (which was a walking test), had brains that generally had better cognitive function, produced elevated memory and superior problem-solving skills. This is the first study that’s scientifically demonstrated a direct link between physical fitness and mental fitness.

If you wanted some added motivation to get out there and do something...there you go. It’s libel to make you smarter or something.
