- The proposed bill that’d bring term limits to school boards statewide has been proposed again. It passed two Senate and three House committees last year and there’s thought that it could have enough momentum to clear both in the upcoming state session. It has the support of Governor DeSantis.
- Broward School Superintendent Robert Runice received a 2.8 out of 4 rating by the Broward School Board – his lowest review rating to date. Three board members gave him the top rating while four provided him with ratings between mediocre and poor.
- An AP investigative report showed illegal synthetic marijuana being substituted for state sanctioned medical marijuana in Florida. Out of seven different types of vape products being sold as inhalable CBD, three were synthetic substitutes. Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried has talked of rolling out comprehensive regulations for the industry in Florida. This shows how significant the need likely is statewide.
