- Broward Sheriff Gregory Tony officially announced his candidacy for election next year. He’s running as a Democrat setting up a showdown with Scott Israel in the primary.
- Haleigh, Homestead, Miami and Miami Beach have municipal elections today
- Governor DeSantis announced Florida’s Python Action Team has now removed 1,000 Burmese pythons from the Everglades for a total of 3,600 with the state’s python elimination program.
- The Governor also announced FloridaHealthPriceFinder.com. The website allows Floridians to evaluate the costs of non-emergency medical services based on location.
- Florida’s Department of Health has now recorded 78 vaping-related lung illnesses after eight additional cases were diagnosed last week. Nationally the total now stands at nearly 1,900.
