Weekly political update – Where news & perceptions meet reality
Bottom Line: This is your weekly reality check. What's really going on with public opinion of the president and our view of the direction of the country? Here it is...
- Trump's lowest rating: 37% approval (8/4/17)
- Trump highest approval rating: 47% approval (2/20/20)
- Trump's current rating: 47% approval
The past week has been full of a lot of newly manufactured drama as news media looks to find new ways to compromise the Trump Presidency post-impeachment. Most notably the attention played to the Barr – Trump Twitter flap. And slanted coverage of the eleven pardons issued. Not to mention the breathless speculation about whether Trump will pardon Stone. As though any of this has anything to do with you and our lives yet again. Outside of the GSS (godless, soulless, slanderous) media and in the real world where we live – President Trump has reached a new record high average approval rating on back of our record prosperity. This while Democrats fought it out in their debate over who has the most “progressive” plans to reverse this record prosperity – in a debate that featured capitalism getting booed. Talk about contrast. If you want it, you have it.
As usual, the more informed and engaged people are, the more likely they are to approve of President Trump.
