-Governor DeSantis said the majority of diagnosed COVID-19 cases involve those under the age of 60. He also announced expanded test sites that open today. They are:

  • Miami – Hard Rock Stadium 
  • Orlando – Orange County Convention Center
  • Jacksonville – Jaguars Stadium

FEMA is operating the sites with state and local health officials conducting the medical procedures.

-The state is considering using shuttered hotels as healthcare facilities to rehabilitate positive cases going forward. The state reportedly has cooperation from multiple operators for the plan should they choose to activate it.

-Total COIVD-19 cases now top 1,000 in Florida and the Florida Department of Health has begun providing municipal information for cases in addition to county info along with detailed reporting from test sites across the state.

-The Keys are closed to non-residents until further notice 

-Confirming fears of authorities and health experts, five University of Tampa students have tested positive for COVID-19 after Spring Break parties on the beach. Additionally, positive tests were reported late yesterday from students at the University of Florida and University of South Florida.
