- Today is reopening day for 64 of Florida’s 67 counties – with Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Counties being the exceptions. The reopening includes: state parks, elective surgeries, restaurants with 25% indoor capacity and outdoor seating with 6 foot spacing between tables &retail businesses may operate at 25% of indoor capacity...
- In the tri-county, while we’re not participating in the phase 1 reopening with the rest of the state, elective surgeries are opening up today in addition to access to state parks.
- Florida’s Office of Early Learning has extended free child care services through June 30th for frontline workers including health care professionals, law enforcement, firefighters and 911 operators. The program is being funded by the federal government through the CARES ACT.
- The latest update from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity shows about 57% of claims received since March 15th have been processed. The state closed the website down over the weekend again to work on existing claims. This is the first time over half of claims filed have been processed. 62% of claims submitted have been accepted, while 38% have been rejected.
- The state received 200,000 antibody test kits over the weekend that will be sent to medical facilities around the state to test health care professionals on the front lines.
