Despite Florida being 2nd overall in diagnosed COVID-19 cases and crossing 7,000 deaths over the weekend, the trend is continuing to improve. Florida’s current daily trending average of cases is now the lowest since July 7th. Florida’s coronavirus test reporting will likely have inconsistencies this week due to many test sites coming offline due to Isaias. All South Florida test sites taken offline are expected to reopen before Wednesday.

Governor DeSantis has started what he calls the One Goal One Florida campaign to combat COVID-19. The plan calls for all Floridians to use these three steps: Proper hygiene, Social distancing & wearing a mask.

“Mystery Seeds” often labeled “China Post” received by Floridians have been determined to be a mix of over a dozen plant seeds, none that have been determined to be harmful according to authorities. The Florida Department of Agriculture is still warning Floridian’s not to open the packages however...

According to NOAA the average temperature in Florida for the first six months of 2020 was 71 which is 3.5 degrees warmer than usual. It was a similar story for the US as it was 2.4 degrees warmer than usual. The main reason cited was a dryer than usual first half of the year. While it’s the hottest start to the year on record for Florida, it has been the 8th warmest on record nationally.
