Man Arrested After Pipe Bombs Found, Says He Bought Materials On EBay

A man has been arrested after several pipe bombs were found in Boynton Beach.

Boynton Beach Police spent several hours investigating Wednesday night after getting a call about a "loud noise" in the area of Congress Avenue and Old Boynton Road.

Police initially said they found "suspicious objects" and shut down a stretch of roadway, evacuating an apartment complex and several homes. The suspicious devices were pipe bombs that were found in a grassy area off of Hoadley.

All roads have since reopened.

Police arrested 34-year old Gregory Samuel Haasze on 26 counts of making, possessing, throwing, projecting, placing or discharging a destructive device.

The man told detectives that he obained the materials for the exlosive devices using eBay on his cell phone and that he never intended to harm anyone.

He's being held at the Palm Beach County Jail.

The FBI has taken over the investigation.
