- Florida Circuit Court Judge Charles Dodson stated Thursday that he will rule whether to dismiss the Florida Education Association’s lawsuit attempting to prevent classroom education in Florida today. The state is seeking the dismissal of the lawsuit. Also notable, Judge Dodson has ordered mediation between the FEA and attorneys for the Florida Department of Education.

- A study by Tourism Economics found the Hospitality sector has been hardest hit during the pandemic where approximately a third of all jobs have been lost during the pandemic.
- According to a quarterly study of Florida’s real-estate market by the Florida Realtor’s Association, despite fewer overall sales due to fewer homes listed for sale during the pandemic, Florida home prices rose to record levels in the second quarter. Single family home prices are 4.7% higher year over year with condos and townhomes showing 6.2% gains statewide.
